Note:

  • This site PAGE was written one year ago at the time of the Vote on whether to Purchase the Copper Health Bldg.

  • You can read all about why we originally thought this building ought NOT to have been a part of the SCOV footprint. The information is still relevant one year later.

  • We NOW ought to SELL IT and move forward with more affordable alternative planning options.

  • Note the SCOV mgmt. has stated of the CC purchase:"If it doesn't work, we sell the asset."(12/22 Q&A)

Why We Will

VOTE TO SELL

the Copper Center.

Please give this website some consideration.

If you wish to inform others so they know the rest of story, please share it with others, friends and neighbors.  Thank you!

This site was created by SCOV homeowners who are concerned that residents are not being told the complete story regarding buying the Copper Health building.

Whether you are for, against, or neutral, we hope you will at least learn about the larger plans before you vote.  All of the following are our opinions of things we have learned and researched. Do your own homework!

Everyone deserves to be more fully informed of the cascade of projects that will follow if the Copper Health building is purchased -- the additional projects, the potential costs, the timing concerns, and more.

Then please vote with our community and our 'needs' in mind - including those who are financially stressed.  They matter, too.

~ From Concerned Neighbors

Just received this from a SCOV Resident who worked at Copper Health

"In my opinion, the Copper Health Building is a money pit. While I worked there, the fireplace never worked (not connected - to get it connected to the gas was too costly - had to break through walls), nor did the air conditioning work consistently well and there were water problems (they both had continuous problems.)  I recall them even having electrical problems. The small 4 burner stove (hood, etc). in the small kitchen was a joke. The building is built 'ass-backwards' and is an unusual maze. Given the 36 bathrooms with showers, I can only imagine the cost to knock them out. There were also issues with the skylights. I am concerned if we buy it without problems being fully addressed, it will be a disaster. I told this to a BOD member a week ago; hopefully he conveyed this to the board and the inspectors."
